January through March

Came into Brendan's room one morning in January and saw that Emily had climbed into bed with him to read.  How adorable are these two reading together?

In February, Brendan participated in the crossover ceremony to go from a Cub Scout to a Boy Scout. 

Emily's 2nd grade teacher assigned each child to make a Valentine's Day castle with their families. We all worked together and Em was very proud of what we made together.  For the party, she dressed up in her most princess-y outfit.

Brendan celebrated his birthday with brownie fudge sundaes.  We invited his grandparents to help us celebrate.  Happy birthday, Brendan!!

Girl Scout cookie time with a cookie booth:

Steve took Brendan on a backpacking trip along the Ozark Highlands Trail.  It looked like they had a wonderful time.

Meanwhile, us girls dressed up alike and went out to Applebee's to eat...kind of the polar opposite of going backpacking - ha ha!
