I took Emily shopping for school clothes and when we got home realized I had a shirt almost the same style and color as one she bought. So, of course, we had to put on our matching outfits and model them.
August is also the month when school starts. Both kids were extremely happy to be going in person this year. I think the only things they liked about virtual school were a) getting up a little later since there was no travel time, and b) fruit smoothies every day for lunch. Otherwise, they really did not enjoy being virtual.
Something extra exciting about this month was that the kids each got a baby bunny! Brendan's little bunny is called a "broken blue" and his name is Oreo. Emily's bunny is a "chocolate" and her name is Twix. Steve built the bunnies a beautiful cage and warm cedar boxes that they can nest in.
